Matt & Gretchen met in 1996 and fell in love, but the timing just wasn’t right for these two. They maintained a friendship for 15 years until Matt, a custom home builder, did some work on Gretchen’s new home, and their flame re-ignited and they’ve been together ever since!

They also realized they were pretty good partners in adding smart value to homes. Matt and Gretchen then found and invested in a number of properties--buying, renovating, then staging and selling them for profit—before turning their real estate passion into their profession. It was a natural partnership with Matt’s construction knowledge, and Gretchen’s artists’ eye for interior design and home staging. When their children were born, Matt and Gretchen, wanted to turn their real estate success into full-time careers so they could be more invested in the local community and available for their children.

Matt is accomplished in custom home building, including green building, historical restoration, multi-million dollar renovation, and urban development. With Matt, you have a builder’s know-how at your side. Plus he’s a former Marine (4 years’ infantry), so he has a strong sense of determination, loyalty, and perseverance.

Gretchen has over 20 years of award-winning sales success in the tech space, so she knows how to harness the power of technology and social media to effectively market and sell. Gretchen is also a fine artist and brings her sense of color, scale and design to home staging.

In committing to put down roots in St. Augustine nearly five years ago to rear their boys, Matt and Gretchen bring a fresh sense of discovery to their adopted city. They’ll share this love of the St. Augustine community—the small town feel, the history, the music and arts and, of course, the water!—with prospective buyers, whether new to the area or long-term residents.
